Stewardship

If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4)

In the second reading today, St. Paul reminds the Colossians that they have been raised with Christ, exhorting them to “be intent on the things above rather than the things on earth.” We too, have been raised with Christ. Let us rejoice and be glad!

Eucharistic Adoration

Our parish is blessed with the opportunity to worship before the Lord in Eucharistic Adoration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please consider Jesus’ invitation to join him in prayer as part of your Lenten offering by spending some quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament. No appointment necessary.

The Adoration Ministry is also in need of adorers on a regular basis who can commit to spending one hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament. The need is especially great between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 7:00 a.m., and daily between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. If you can commit to a regularly scheduled hour, please contact Anne Reilly at 508-655-8516.

One of the requirements of offering Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is that the Blessed Sacrament may never be left alone. We must ensure that at least one person is always present before the Lord in the Adoration Chapel in order to meet our commitments.

Youth of St . Patrick

Eight students from St. Patrick's parish will be attending a High School Youth Conference (Steubenville East) at La Salette shrine the weekend of July 20-22. To assist them in raising funds for their attendance, they will be sponsoring 2 fund raising events. The first, a can and bottle drive that will take place in the parking lot of St. Patrick's. The second, an ice cream social where donations will be requested. Please support our youth and keep a lookout in future bulletins for more information.

St. Vincent de Paul scholarship

Attention High School seniors who are members of St. Patrick Parish and attending a Catholic High School: you may apply for the Philip H. Woods – St. Vincent de Paul scholarship. Resurrection Prayer

God of all life,
Your Son conquered sin and death and revealed the glory of the resurrection. May all who are baptized in his name share the abundance of his life. May our suffering be transformed, our crosses be turned to signs of victory, and the death we experience in this life reveal the fullness of eternal life in your presence. As we celebrate Christ’s Resurrection, give us the grace to see that death is not the end. Strengthen our resolve to be witnesses to the life which Christ bestows on all who are baptized and believe in him.
Amen.
