Stewardship

“But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.” (John 16:13)

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know the truth. So why not ask the Holy Spirit the truth about your stewardship. Are you sharing your time and talent with God and others? Do you give a fair amount of your treasure to do the work of the Lord? Can you hear the Spirit’s answer to those questions in your heart now? What more is He calling you to do?

2007 Catholic Appeal Update
Giving in Faith, Giving with Love

Our appreciation goes out to all parishioners at St. Patrick’s Parish who have made a gift to the 2007 Catholic Appeal. We are pleased that we have many new contributors this year. Welcome and thank you! We ask every Catholic family to participate. Please know that all gifts – of whatever amount – matter. You can pick up information packets with pledge forms in the back of the church to be mailed in, or for more information please visit www.BostonCatholicAppeal.com or call 617-779-3700. Thank you.

Rest in Peace

Let us pray for those who have died, especially

Jack Nine and Stephen W. Humphrey Jr.

May they and all of our faithful departed rest in peace.

Evening of Prayer
Living Rosary

Please join us on Monday, June 11th, at 7:30 p.m. as we gather together to pray the “Living Rosary” upstairs in the Church. Each bead of the Rosary is represented by a parishioner holding a candle as we honor the Virgin Mary with scripture and song.

We need people to help form the Rosary. If you are willing to help, please sign up after Mass this weekend, or call the Parish Office at 508-653-1093. Thank you.

Graduation Prayer

Dear God,
Those whom you called to do great things for you were often tested first.
You did so, not to frustrate them, but to bring out what you saw as the best in them.
Joseph was raised from slavery to royalty, and you gave him grace to forgive when he’d been wronged.
Solomon was raised from prince to king, and you granted him wisdom to govern his people.
Jeremiah was raised from youth to prophet, and you gave him courage to proclaim your truth.
Today begins a new chapter in the lives of these graduates.
Give them the wisdom to make wise decisions, just as you gave your servants guidance in ages past.
Amen.

June Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Marriage Amendment

The Marriage Amendment will again be before the Constitutional Convention of the Massachusetts Legislature, scheduled for Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14, 2007. We have a duty to pass on a strong institution of marriage for the good of future generations. Each of us in the community of faith should exercise our rights as citizens, and urge our legislators to vote to move the Marriage Amendment to the 2008 ballot and allow every citizen’s voice to be heard. Contact your Senator and Representative at 617-722-2000 and ask them to let the people vote. For e-mail addresses go to www.macathconf.org and click on “Legislator’s e-mails”.
