FROM THE PASTOR

I want to extend a warm welcome to our new Parochial Vicar, the REVEREND JASON W. WORTHLEY to our parish family. Fr. Worthley began his new assignment at St. Patrick's this past Tuesday and has already begun to make a positive impact on our parish life. We are certainly blessed to have this wonderful priest with us and I am grateful to Archbishop Sean for this gift. I am certain that you will have many opportunities to personally welcome Fr. Worthley and will do all that you can to make him feel at home here.

I would also like to express my prayerful congratulations to the REVEREND STEPHEN S. DONOHOE, the REVEREND MARK J. RILEY, and the REVEREND JOSEPH A.PAQUET, S.J., as they observe the anniversary of the Ordinations to the Sacred Priesthood. Fr. Donohoe and. Paquet were ordained on June 13th, although in different years while Fr. Riley was ordained on June 16th. These three priests have enriched my life and the life of this entire parish by their fraternal charity and priestly example. As we acknowledge our good fortune in having these men of God in our midst, we ask the Lord to continue to bless them with the same happiness with which He has blessed us through them. AD MULTOS ANNOS.

I want to invite all parishioners to join us on this Monday evening, June 14th for our MONTHLY EVENING OF PRAYER as we continue the spiritual renewal program for our parish. The theme for this month is the Eucharist and we have invited our parish seminarian, MARK BARR, to share some of his reflections on the importance of the Eucharist in the life of a disciple. The evening will begin with the celebration of Evening Prayer in the Church at 7:30 PM along with Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament. We will conclude the evening with Benediction. As always, there will be refreshments in the Hall at the conclusion of the Prayer Service. I hope that all of you will take advantage of this opportunity to "come away for awhile and rest with the Lord."

This weekend, the Church observes the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ and this affords us the opportunity to reflect upon the great gift that the Eucharist is to all of us. The Real Presence of Christ, under the appearance of bread and wine, is the Source and Summit of the life of every Catholic. It is to Christ that we bring all that we have and are and we are nourished with His own Body and Blood as the Food for our journey. I want to encourage all parishioners to make a visit to the Adoration Chapel that is located on Hayes Street and which is open 24 hours a day, seven days of the week. The time that we spend in His Presence provides us with the strength that we need to stay the course as we go through our daily routines.

I would also like to urge all parishioners to contribute to the ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL. The Appeal is the life-line for so many of the programs sponsored by the Archdiocese and our financial support is critical. The lack of financial resources has already had a severe impact on many pastoral programs and your generous response to the Appeal is needed to ensure that those who are most in need do not go without.

Thank You

Dear "Car Wash Crew" and helpers,

What a wonderful gift, $204 - WOW!! That represents a lot of work for many people and we appreciate it very much. We not only appreciate all that money but also that you should do this for St. Vincent de Paul. It is great that you would realize that even in Natick there are individuals and families who need such basic help as food, clothing, assistance with rent, etc.

Thank you all for thinking of us and for all your hard work.

Sincerely,
St. Vincent de Paul Society

Thank You

Thanks to everyone who helped in the various ministries at last week's Mass of Compassion. Several of our homebound and infirmed parishioners were able to attend, and they were most grateful for the opportunity to attend Mass in the Church, and very appreciative of the wonderful luncheon afterwards.
