BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER
Dear Lord, let Your Spirit of wisdom fill the earth and teach us Your ways.
Bless all of our students as they return to school this year. Let them enjoy their learning and take delight in new discoveries. Help them to persevere in their studies and give them the desire to learn all things well. Grant that during this academic year they may devote themselves to their studies and share what they have learned from others.
Bless also all of our teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds.
Send your Spirit upon parents and guardians as well. Fill them with your wisdom and blessings. As the first teachers of their children, grant that their faith and love may be an example to all of us.
Grant that students, teachers, parents, and guardians alike may follow Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, forever and ever. Amen.
PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
Lord Jesus, as You once called the first disciples to make them fishers of men, let your sweet invitation continue to resound: Come, follow Me!
Give young men and women the grace of responding quickly to Your voice. Support our bishops, priests, and consecrated people in their apostolic labor.
Grant perseverance to our seminarians and to all those who are carrying out the ideal life totally consecrated to Your service.
Awaken in our community a missionary eagerness. Lord, send workers to Your harvest and do not allow humanity to be lost for lack of pastors, missionaries, and people dedicated to the cause of the Gospel.
Mary, Mother of the Church, the model of every vocation, help us to say "Yes" to the Lord Who calls us to cooperate in the divine plan of salvation.

STEWARDSHIP
In the Gospel today, Jesus warns us not to give in hopes of repayment, but to give openheartedly to the poor and the needy. That sort of giving mirrors the bountiful giving of God, and Jesus assures us it is blessed indeed!
Rest in Peace
Let us pray for those who have died, especially Richard Hesek, Sr., may he and all the faithful departed rest in peace.
St. Vincent dePaul Society
The St. Vincent dePaul Society once again will be helping families with BACK TO SCHOOL clothing needs. Please call the Rectory and leave your name and telephone number and we will contact you. All calls are confidential.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
These are pictures from Gospel Road.

One of the work sites that the kids worked at harvests fresh produce for homeless and low income families. The teens who did Gospel Road harvested approximately 500lbs of produce including cabbage, zucchini, peppers, and squash!

RClA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the formal name for the journey of faith that brings individuals into the Catholic Community. I have great admiration for those faith-filled people who are seeking a deeper relationship with our Lord and have a great desire to receive Him in the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. RCIA is also a journey of friendship, joy, laughter, and faith sharing not only for the candidates, but also for their sponsors and team members.
One of my greatest joys is watching as a family receives the Eucharist together for the first time. We have found that when one member of the family joins the RCIA process, the faith of the entire family is greatly strengthened.
The RCIA process strives to gently share the Gospel message along with the Church's teachings and we enjoy many lively discussions. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. We are also looking for members of St. Patrick Parish Community who would like to join us as team members.
We will be available after all Masses on the Weekend of September 11-12, to answer questions that anyone may have about the program. On Tuesday, September 21st an evening of inquiry will be held for those interested in joining the process.

Parish food collection
Thank you for all your donations to the weekly food drop-off, which is located in the left-hand corner in the vestibule of the church. We bring your donations to the Natick Food Pantry, East Central St., on the first week of the month, and a Place to Turn , Hartford St., during the second-fourth weeks. If there is a fifth Sunday, the food collection is picked up by St. Vincent de Paul Society.
The pantries accept all basic non-perishable food products. Items, which are a source of protein, are especially welcome (beans, hash, beef stew). Items currently needed are toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, etc.), coffee, 100% fruit drinks, tomato products, spaghettios, snacks and side dishes. Outdated food products are not accepted.
Your generosity is appreciated by "those in this society who, through no fault of their own, are unable to meet their needs for food." (Mission Statement of A Place to Turn)
