Prayer Partners
We are still looking for more parishioners to share in the journey of preparation with our 2nd grade students as they move toward the reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. A Prayer Partner is an individual or a family who commits themselves to praying for a child in 2nd grade that the Lord will be with them and grow in them as they prepare to receive the Sacrament. Prayer partners will have the opportunity to meet the child that they have been praying for before the sacrament date. If this ministry is of interest to you or your family there is a sign up sheet in the back of the church or else please call the Office of Religious Education to be assigned to a child.
"Even when we cannot do anything, we can always pray"

MINISTRY NOTICES
PEACE AND JUSTICE
Please bring an item or two for the Natick Food Pantry if you can.
Thanks to all those who purchased El Salvador crafts to help our Sister Parish in San Jose Las Flores. The proceeds will go to support regional projects for youth and women.
Also, this year we initiated a small project to help the Sisters of St. Joseph Prison Ministry at MCI. As part of the Jesse Tree, gift certificates for children's books and blank videotapes were given for a special project organized by the Catholic Chaplain, Sister Maureen Clark. She arranges to videotape mothers reading a story, and then the tape and the book are sent to the children. This is an ongoing project throughout the year, connecting children with their imprisoned moms.
Finally, this Sunday is the Feast of the Holy Innocents. As we recall Matthew's account of Herod's massacre, let us also remember that innocent children are still being killed throughout the world due to wars and other acts of violence. Let us especially pray for the Iraqi and Afghan children killed by our bombs and our guns. Let the Holy Innocents of yesterday and today inspire us to act in the future so that all children will be loved and protected.
RESPECT LIFE
Many thanks to all the parishioners for your generous and thoughtful support of the Jesse Tree. This year we were able to assist many families and individuals through your many acts of kindness. Again we thank you for all that you did to make this holiday season brighter for so many!

Reflecting a Consistent Ethic of Life
Seamless Garment Reflection:
Christmas as I Consider the World Situation
God of comfort, these times seem so uncertain, so scary. The world seems darker than it has in the past and I am less sure of myself. Maybe that's a good thing; maybe now I am turning to you with a realization that I need you so much more and that my life is not in my own control. Let me not forget all of those around the world who are frightened at this moment. Help those who are victims of terrorism and war. Be with those whose losses are so great this year. Hold us all in your loving arms and let us be comforted by the strength and peace You want so much to offer us through the birth of your son, Jesus. Thank you for the many gifts you offer us.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society appreciates your continuous support. With the winter season and the holidays the requests for help increase.

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."
Blessed Mother Teresa
