“…. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” – Matthew 2:13

“Mary’s joy was not diminished by her sorrow because it was fueled by her faith, hope, and trust in God and his promises.”

"Lord, you gave your life for my sake, to redeem me from slavery to sin and death. Help me to do you will and not shrink back out of fear or cowardice when trouble besets me."

Electronic Offertory

In an effort to make it more convenient for parishioners to financially support Saint Patrick Parish, we now offer you the ability to make your offertory contributions electronically. Rather than placing cash or checks in the collection basket each week, you now have the option to simply have a predetermined monthly amount withdrawn from your checking or savings account that will be automatically deposited into the Parish Offertory. Transactions will be made on the 15th of each month. If you are interested in signing up for electronic offertory payments, or if you would like additional information, please contact Jean Lorrey in the Parish Office at 508-653-1093. Thank you.

Prayer for Vocations

Most Holy Virgin, certain of your intercession, we pray that the mysteries of the Risen Christ and of the Holy Spirit may enlighten many to become willing and generous servants of the church. We pray for our youth to whom the Lord addresses a special invitation of closer fellowship. May they refuse to be carried away by the things of this world, but open their hearts instead, to the friendly voice that calls them. May they feel capable of making a life-long commitment to Christ and to his church for the salvation of mankind. May they trust that divine grace will endow them with the power to make a total offering of themselves as they feel the attraction of priestly, religious and missionary life. We pray for the Christian families, that they may provide a favorable atmosphere for their youngsters and help them make the right choices. We beseech you that all priests and religious be an example to our youth by their availability and humble readiness to accept the gifts of the Holy Spirit. May they be able to extend to all the fruits of love and peace. Amen. Pope John Paul II

Prayer for the New Year

Dear Lord,
At the beginning of this New Year, I remember that you are a God of beginnings and endings. You created the world, with all its eternal patterns. Winter begins in frost, and ends in Spring’s thaw. Spring begins in new, green life, ending in Summer’s heat. Summer begins in sunshine, and ends in Autumn’s breezes. And Autumn’s color leads to the white of Winter again. As another year ends and begins in our lives, help us to remember that you have made a world of cycles. When fortune turns to trials, or hardship turns to joy, help me take delight in the life I’ve received from you. Remind me that I will one day pass from this world and enter a new life like those who’ve gone before me. Amen.

Bicentennial Prayer

All loving and gracious God
We thank you for the Gift of your Son, Jesus Christ.
For two hundred years we have journeyed together as members of his Church in the Archdiocese of Boston. We have tried to live the Gospel message in service to one another. Continue to walk with us as we seek to be receptive to your grace in Word and Sacrament. Send us your Spirit to enlighten our minds, strengthen our wills and open our hearts. By our witness may others know you. Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, may the Church in Boston journey together in Christ with courage, joy and peace
Amen.

Safety for All

In an effort to make sure our building is a secure place for all during the celebration of Mass, parents please accompany your children when they need to use the rest room. In this way we will all be assured that our oungsters are safe at all times.
