ST.PATRICK’S
SUMMER
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL -2008
‘RAINFOREST ADVENTURE’…Where Kids into God’s Word!
This
past week’s V.B.S. was another faith-filled event for 100 children
and over 40 volunteers~
The week offered participants an opportunity to dig into Old
and New Testament Scripture in six fun, active and engaging
activities each day. All six activities tied in a central daily
Bible Message which included:
Monday:
Share Every Good Thing You Have
Tuesday: If you Give You Should Be Generous
Wednesday:Grow and be Happy in Your Faith
Thursday:We Loved God Because He loved us first
Friday:We will Praise and Thank You Lord
Despite
the steamy temperatures, everyone seemed to be ‘swinging HIGH’
in learning more about our awesome God!
Many Thanks to all of the volunteers who spent weeks in preparation
of the program and also to those who worked at the program during
the week.
My Special Thanks goes to Fr. Kiely for his continued support
and enthusiasm for this program; Linda Bradshaw, who ran the
Kindergarten Room along with Ali Salvaggio, and Fran Visconti;
to Tricia Fair, Carol Arnold and Michelle Woolard who ran the
Games stations; to Rich Salvaggio who once again embraced the
week’s Bible lessons which most certainly inspired his viewers;
Mercedes Lagan and Mark Clifford for their Fun Science experiments;
to Donna Martel, Linda Witherby, Angela Spivack, Jamie Carr
and Jackie Galvin who ran Crafts, Janet Vitello who ran the
new Rhythm station for the Kindergarteners, to Lisa Correia,
Diane Floyd and Anne McCaulliffe who prepared yummy snacks,
to the Registration Staff: Berta Davis, Julie Ceplikas,
Eileen Delvecchio,
Mary-Ellen Maloney, and to ALL OF THE AWESOME CREW LEADERS AND
STATION HELPERS!!!!
It was a WONDERFUL week! I pray that you all have further embraced
your faith during this past week and that you will join us again
next year!
God Bless,
Nancy Maguire

Collection
Our
St. Patrick Parish family donated $2,662.00 to the special collection
for the BLACK and INDIAN MISSIONS in the UNITED STATES last weekend.
Thank you for your generosity!
Electronic
Offertory
In an effort to make it more convenient
for parishioners to financially support Saint Patrick Parish,
we now offer you the ability to make your offertory contributions
electronically. Rather than placing cash or checks in the collection
basket each week, you now have the option to simply have a predetermined
monthly amount withdrawn from your checking or savings account
that will be automatically deposited into the Parish Offertory.
Transactions will be made on the 15th of each month. If you are
interested in signing up for electronic offertory payments, or
if you would like additional information, please contact Jean
Lorrey in the Parish Office at 508-653-1093. Thank you.
Stewardship
“The
kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed
in his field…He who sows good seed is the Son of Man, the field
is the world, the good seed the children of the kingdom.” Matthew
13:24, 37-38
As
children of God, we are all “good seeds,” blessed by God with
the potential to accomplish much good in this world. We fulfill
God’s plan for us when we share our unique talents and our financial
gifts to build up God’s kingdom. Through our stewardship we blossom!

which we will hold a short business meeting and Vespers prayer.
We welcome anyone who would like to come and see what we are about.
Walk-ins welcome. For further information call, Pat at 508-820-4786
or Roman at 1-978-263-4505. Bring a friend!
Collection
for the Church in Central & Eastern Europe
Next
week the second collection will go to aid the Church in Central
& Eastern Europe. In this part of the world the Church, emerging
from 70 years of Communist rule, is vigorously involved in rebuilding
the faith of its people. Proceeds from the collection, sponsored
by the bishops of the United States, are used for:
supporting religious education programs
training seminarians
expanding social ministries
rebuilding churches, convents & schools
Your generosity can help provide the resources to grow
and nourish the faith in this region of the world.
